On this day, people go to Gurudwara, listen to kirtan, and take part in prayer. Many places organize Nagar Kirtan (religious procession). Free food called Langar is served to everyone without any difference. People also help the poor, donate food and clothes, and do social work.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Jayanti teaches us to stay strong, speak truth, and respect all religions. His life message is about courage, honesty, and love for humanity. Schools, colleges, and religious groups also organize programs to tell children and students about his great sacrifice and teachings.
